| Track team fares well at tough WSU Pre-State
The Valley Center High School track and field team competed at Wichita State University's Pre-State meet on April 11 and 12. The boys scored enough points to place 11th at one of the toughest meets in the state.

| Swim team finishes fourth at Newton
The Valley Center High School girls' swimming team competed in Newton on April 9. The Hornets took fourth out of eight schools with 142 points.

| Hornet tennis team 1st at Campus
The Hornets scored 27 team points. Wichita East was second with 21, followed by Collegiate with 17, Dodge City 16, Augusta 15, Liberal 12, a combination team 6 and Campus 2.

| VCMS track team competes at Central
The seventh-grade girls placed sixth, the eighth-grade girls and seventh-grade boys second, and the eighth-grade boys fourth. Andale swept the team titles.
