School district maintains status quo on fees
By Chris Strunk
Last Updated: April 12, 2018

No new fees.

That's the message Superintendent Cory Gibson gave the Valley Center school board April 9 as the board approved a fee structure for 2018-19.

School fees will remain the same as the 2017-18 school year.

"We're not raising fees," Gibson said.

Technology use fee for sixth through 12th grades will be $20. The optional computer device insurance will be $25.

Enrollment fee for kindergarten through eighth grade will be $75 and $100 for high school.

Band fees will be $10 for high school uniform cleaning and $20 per month for instrument rental at the intermediate, middle and high schools.

Middle school and high school athletic fees will be $65 and $10 per activity up to $95 maximum per student.

The school board also approved the facility use policy and fees for 2018-19. Those will remain the same as well.
