Aug. 7 — Valley Center Officer Eric Leeker responded to 739 McLaughlin on an animal call. The homeowner found a large snake on her door. The officer killed the snake because it looked poisonous and was aggressive.

Aug. 6 — Valley Center Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a suspicious character report at 8935 W. Kessler Road. A citizen was walking home and got lost. The officer assisted the citizen in locating his home.

Aug. 4 — Valley Center Officer Jason Easley checked a vehicle at Fourth and Colby that was left in the intersection with a door open. Officer learned from a citizen that the driver of the car was trying to catch a dog. The driver caught the dog and then left.

Aug. 4 — Valley Center Officers JC Kirk and Ryan Mumma responded to an animal call at 63rd North and Interurban. The calling party said he saw multiple mountain lions near the road and railway and it was not the first time they were seen.
