Back to School guide in The News Last Updated: July 24, 2014 The 2014-15 school year is right around the corner. Valley Center students will return to school Aug. 14, 15 and 19. With school about to start, The Ark Valley News, in conjunction with USD 262, is producing the annual Back to School edition. We are packaging together a wealth of information in an attractive, easy to use booklet for every family in the school district. It will be delivered to each home in the school district July 30 and 31. Most families will receive a copy by mail. Many will be hand-delivered. Extra copies will be available at each Valley Center school. In it, you'll find information about attendance requirements, fees, enrollment requirements, open houses, immunizations, school food and transportation. You'll also find information about particular schools — Abilene, West, Wheatland, intermediate school, middle school, high school and The Learning Center. There will be faculty and staff lists, important dates, PTO and PTA information as well as supply lists. In an effort to make the transition from summer vacation to school year as smooth as possible, we hope you'll find the Back to School edition helpful and interesting. — The Ark Valley News |
