Shocked, saddened by characterization of pastor
Last Updated: July 24, 2014

We were shocked and saddened to read Earl Dill's letter to the editor regarding Dr. Chuck Terrill's July 3, 2014, column titled "Little Red Hen." It is very apparent to us that Mr. Dill knows nothing whatsoever about Dr. Terrill's character or his reputation. Mr. Dill knows even less about Dr. Terrill's profound love of God, his devotion to his congregation, or his service to this community.

It is understandable to disagree or to have an opposing view, but Mr. Dill's vehemence, name-calling, and insults were mean and slanderous! As members of Dr. Terrill's church, we were insulted and appalled.

We want Mr. Dill to know that Dr. Terrill is none of the things he accused him of being. Quite the opposite! Dr. Terrill is full of compassion, hope and love for others. Dr. Terrill does not sugar coat the word of God to please the left-wing radicals. This is what infuriates the likes of Earl Dill. His assessment of Dr. Terrill was wrong and he should apologize to Dr. Terrill.
