Letters to the Editor
Get informed and involved
Last week's criticisms of our superintendent and volunteer members of the school board for a perceived lack of transparency — by a person who neither signed the letter nor substantiated the accusations — caught me as one of the more outrageous things I've read on this opinion page through the years. In response, let me be transparent about my experience with our Board of Education.
Hate to see coach leave
Coach Steen Danielsen, it is with sadness that I receive news of your pending departure from Valley Center High School Soccer. As a fan of the women's program for the past dozen or so years, I have seen how much it has grown and become wildly successful. The ladies are perennial contenders for post-season play and always seem to be in the hunt for the league title. A big reason for that is the work you've done at the high school level and at the club level.
