Bel Aire City Hall alters hours to cater to residents Taylor Messick Beginning on Jan. 3, City Hall will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Fridays, it will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mayor David Austin said the city got the idea from Derby. He said the city manager and finance director both recommended the move after consulting with their staff members.

1 hurt in neighborhood crash Chris Strunk Police said a vehicle driven by Sarah Oaks of Park City was westbound on Allen, near the city swimming pool, and a vehicle driven by Arica Autry of Valley Center was southbound at Colby. Autry's vehicle failed to yield to Oaks' vehicle and the two collided at the intersection, sending Oaks' Chevrolet Impala over the curb and into a street sign.
