    Frank Crawford Jr., 80, of Wichita and formerly of Bel Aire, died March 6, 2015.
MARY GUTSCHER
    Mary Lou (Kreinbring) Gutscher, 82, of Kechi, died March 23, 2015. She had retired in 1989 from Koch Industries.
PERRY WHITE
    Perry Lynn White, 64, of Valley Center, died March 20, 2015. He was employed by Clearwater Truck Company.
SHIRLEY FARMER
    Shirley Jean Farmer, 79, of Bel Aire, died March 13, 2015. She was a homemaker.

No need for beer at city building
    The city council last week discussed an ordinance that would modify an existing ban on alcohol consumption on all city property. Alcohol would be allowed inside the Community Building, which is in Lions Park at 316 E. Clay, but nowhere else.

    More Park City police officers will soon get a clearer picture of their work. The city council approved a request from Police Chief Phil Bostian at its March 24 meeting for the purchase of four additional in-vehicle video camera systems.

    Co-ed teams from Andale, Andover, Andover Central, Caldwell, Campus, Derby, Goddard, Independent, Wichita North and Rose Hill will be competing.

    The Hornets played Newton evenly for 54 minutes until Brookelynn Entz broke away in the middle of the Valley Center defense, made a couple of quick moves and scored what stood as the game-winner midway through the second half.

    The Kansas State High School Activities Association recently honored Terry Orvis for his 40 years as a wrestling official. Plaques were given to individuals with 20, 30, 40 and 50 years of service to the youth and schools of Kansas.
