Give new local indoor soccer team a chance Give the new team a chance. It's unfortunate that the second version of the Wichita Wings franchise folded after two short seasons. But we're optimistic that the newly unveiled Wichita B-52s will have more staying power. Time will tell if that optimism is justified.

Hornet volleyball team opens in Hutchinson Randy Fisher As has become its custom, the Valley Center volleyball team will open the season by playing in the seventh annual Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League preseason tournament Aug. 31 in Hutchinson. Teams from Divisions I, II and III will use the event as a chance for competition and development, with no awards given.
