Plans still in place for Bel Aire apartments Matt Heilman The project finally has the financing it needs to happen. On a four-acre tract near 53rd North and Rock Road, just north of Northeast Magnet High School, Zimmerman Properties LLC will construct an apartment complex in Bel Aire called Brookstone Villa.

Organizer pleased with turnout for Salute to Freedom Matt Heilman The overall attendance is difficult to peg, but organizers were pleased with the turnout for the annual Salute to Freedom celebration July 4 in Park City. Park City community events committee member Sheryl Karleskint said between 800 and 900 people attended a concert in the park from country music artist and Mound Valley native, James Wesley.

Local boy to receive the gift of sound Chris Strunk Ryker, the 10-month-old son of Justin and Johnna Lygrisse, will undergo surgery in Omaha, Neb., July 19 to receive cochlear implants in both ears. On July 31, the Valley Center family will return to Omaha to “turn on" the implants, his family said.
