After spending most of her high school softball career as a backup catcher to all-state performer Emily Otte, Estes is ready to take her place to lead the Valley Center High School softball team and its strong pitching staff.

Hornet soccer team undefeated Matt Heilman The Valley Center High School soccer team has used a mix of stout defense, improved passing and aggressive attacks at opposing goals to sit at 4-0 on the young season. The Hornets followed a signature 2-0, March 28 win against Wichita Trinity with a 3-0 win April 2 against Buhler.
