    It's healthy to question motives of elected officials and candidates for local government positions and we encourage residents to speak up anytime they don't agree with the direction their city is taking. But in Bel Aire, things seem too personal and we think it's time for everybody to move on.

    Five break-ins to RVs and trailers were reported to Park City police in the afternoon and early evening hours March 24 at the Stor-Mor RV and camper storage facility at 137 E. 53rd North.

    The former home of Lytton's Furniture at 1600 E. 61st North in Park City won't be vacant much longer. Almost one year after the furniture store's closing, plans are in place for a new thrift shop to take its place.

    The Valley Center High School boys' basketball team received some kudos from The Wichita Eagle last week.
Hornets open tennis season with team title Matt Heilman
    The Hornets notched first place finishes in No. 1 and No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles and a second-place finish at No. 2 doubles. Valley won its home tournament with 22 team points, six points ahead of Chaparral in second.

Valley Center ‘relentless’ in 9-0 win over Mulvane Matt Heilman
    The Hornets dominated early and kept their foot on the gas. All 19 players suited up for the Valley Center High School girls' soccer team played varsity minutes and all played well, Hornet coach Jeff Burger said.

    Reconstruction of the Fifth Street bridge over the Little Ditch in Valley Center is on time but it's going to be a couple more months before it opens.

    The Valley Center Planning Commission approved site plans for three commercial projects March 26, clearing the way for construction to begin. The commission approved plans for Unruh Family Chiropractic's new office planned for the southwest corner of Meridian and 69th North, Casey's General Store's new gas station and convenience store at 222 S. Meridian and Retro System's new industrial building at 540 W. Clay.
