Police reports

Sept. 20 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to the 1100 block of North Meadow where two females said their vehicles were egged while parked on the street.

Sept. 20 — Officer Rasheed Berry contacted an individual in the 9200 block of North Broadway. He checked a male for warrant and transported him to 21st North and Broadway.

Sept. 19 — Officer Liliana Garcia responded to 901 Willow Creek where a female reported that someone took her wallet from her vehicle the previous night.

Sept. 19 — Officer Liliana Garcia assisted Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office with a burglary in-progress and suspect pursuit at 5206 N. Ridge.

Sept. 19 — Officer Liliana Garcia assisted Maize police with domestic violence in the 400 block of South Longbranch.

Sept. 19 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to harassment in the 300 block of North Fiddlers Creek. A female said her daughter was being cyber-bullied on social media.

Sept. 19 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to a disturbance involving three people at 123 S. Colby. They issued a court summons for battery to one of the individuals.

Sept. 18 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to a disturbance at Fifth and Interurban. A female followed a vehicle to the 500 block of Deerfield after it almost hit her daughter in a crosswalk.

Sept. 18 — Officer Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to a child custody dispute at 800 N. Meridian. A parent reported their child was abducted after another parent picked the child up from the middle school in violation of a court order. The child was turned over to the custodial parent in Park City.

Sept. 18 — Officer Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Michael Gordon stopped a motorist for a traffic violation at Allen and Colby. They arrested Michael Wells on a charge of DUI.

Sept. 18 — Officer Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Michael Gordon checked a vehicle on the side of the road with its rear passenger door open in the 500 block of North Meridian. Officers contacted the owner.

Sept. 17 — Officer Liliana Garcia stood-by to prevent a disturbance in the 100 block of North Burns. The calling party said a former roommate, who previously threatened to have him beaten up, came to retrieve property. The property was collected without issue.

Sept. 17 — Officer Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to 85th North and Broadway for a welfare check. The calling party saw a woman with a walker and was concerned she might be lost.

Sept. 17 — Officer Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to the Kwik Shop, 110 E. Fifth. A female reported unknown individuals made comments to her in the parking lot that made her feel uncomfortable.

Sept. 17 — Officer Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Michael Gordon responded to a report of a car following the calling party at 641 W. Scott. Nothing was located.

Sept. 16 — Officers Rasheed Berry, Jeremy Manning, Ceara Metzger and John Schoen and Sgt. Jason Easley took custody of Roy McCurdy at 805 E. 10th Street in Newton. McCurdy had been arrested for a Valley Center warrant.

Sept. 16 — Officers Rasheed Berry, Jeremy Manning, Ceara Metzger and John Schoen and Sgt. Jason Easley assisted Wichita police by finding a stolen vehicle while looking for a wanted suspect at 4406 W. Maple.

Sept. 16 — Officer John Schoen responded to a parking issue at 340 E. Emporia. He contacted the vehicle's owner.

Sept. 16 — Officer John Schoen took a fraud report at 422 N. Emporia.

Sept. 16 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Scott Hamlin and Sgts. Michael Gordon and J.C. Kirk made responded to the 500 block of West First. They arrested Treveaun Collins for a Montgomery County warrant and on charges of criminal trespassing and possession of marijuana. A juvenile female listed as a runaway was taken into custody for a Sedgwick County Warrant.

Sept. 16 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Scott Hamlin and Sgts. Michael Gordon and J.C. Kirk checked for a wanted suspect at 502 N. Birch. 

Sept. 16 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk arrested Nathan Dawson for a Valley Center warrant at 2800 N. Hillside in Wichita.

Sept. 16 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk arrested Benjamin Kraus for a Valley Center warrant at 1621 W. 22nd Circle in Wichita.

Sept. 16 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for a traffic violation at 53rd North and Meridian. He arrested Ricky Rowe on charges of DUI, illegal registration and no proof of insurance.

Sept. 15 — Officer Rasheed Berry assisted Valley Center Fire Department at 6725 N. Interurban.

Sept. 15 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk assisted Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office with a disturbance at 85th North and Ridge.

Sept. 15 — Officer Scott Hamlin stopped a motorist for a traffic violation at 200 E. Ford. He arrested a juvenile male and issued a Uniform Criminal Complaint for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Sept. 15 — Officer Eric Leeker checked the parks.

Sept. 14 — Officer Rasheed Berry arrested Amanda K. Hunt for a Valley Center warrant at 6725 N. Interurban Drive.

Sept. 14 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to a non-injury auto accident at Fifth and Interurban.

Sept. 14 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to reports of someone recklessly driving a minibike reckless driving at 69th North and Meridian. Nothing was found.

Sept. 14 — Officer Scott Hamlin and Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to a leaking fire hydrant at the high school. A city crew was contacted, and the hydrant was turned off.
