Nutritional shake shop to open on Main St.
By The News staff
Last Updated: January 16, 2020

A shake shop — with a nutritional flare — is coming to Main Street Valley Center.

Beginning Jan. 17, Hornet Nutrition will open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays in the lobby of Valley Center Chiropractic office, 215 W. Main.

The owners — Alisha Ream and Jenna Britton — are in the testing stages to see if the community would like and support a full-time nutrition club such as Hornet Nutrition.

The shop will start with a smaller menu of shakes, teas, iced coffees and healthy donut shots. Its traditional menu offers about 80 shake flavors and 30 tea options.

Everything on the menu is a healthy option. Shakes are a soy, plant-based protein ranging from 24 to 36 grams of protein. The shop also has post-workout options.

Hornet Nutrition will also offer one-on-one nutrition coaching, at-home meal plans and weight-loss and fitness challenges.
