Police reports

Nov. 11 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Ryan Mumma responded to 6213 N. Sullivan to check for a wanted person. They arrested Carlos Flores for three Sedgwick County warrants and one Butler County warrant.

Nov. 11 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a non-injury accident at 800 N. Meridian.

Nov. 11 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance at 424 N. Hickory. It was verbal only.

Nov. 11 — Officers John Schoen and Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance at 222 E. Allen. They arrested the suspect, Cody Watkins, for a Wichita warrant.

Nov. 10 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to a report of criminal damage/domestic violence at 583 W. Second. A male damaged the house he stays at with his mother with the intent to intimidate or cause fear for the rest of the family in the home.

Nov. 10 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to 583 W. Second and arrested Ryan Phillips on a charge of criminal damage domestic violence.

Nov. 10 — Officer John Schoen confirmed a warrant for Austin Childers, who was in custody at the Sedgwick County jail.

Nov. 9 — Officer Liliana Garcia responded to Fifth and Seneca for two reports of a deer with its leg stuck in a barbed wire fence. She did not find the deer.

Nov. 9 — Officer Liliana Garcia responded to an alarm at 234 S. Sheridan Court. It was false.

Nov. 9 — Officer Jerry Ezell responded twice to an alarm twice at 6729 N. Interurban. Both times the alarm was false.

Nov. 9 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for speeding at Ford and Dexter. During the stop, Ezell smelled an odor of alcohol and saw beer bottles on the floor. He subsequently arrested Sara Stucky on a charge of DUI. A passenger said the open beers were hers. She was cited for transporting an open container.

Nov. 8 — Officer Erik Nygaard assisted a motorist at Southwind and Meridian. He helped push it to a safe location until the owners could pick it up.

Nov. 8 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for speeding at Sixth and Meridian. During the stop, officer smelled an odor of alcohol, and subsequently arrested Kimberly Barnes on a charge of DUI.

Nov. 8 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for speeding at 57th North and Seneca. During the stop, Ezell smelled an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. He subsequently arrested Justin Crippen on a charge of DUI.

 Nov. 7 — Officer Liliana Garcia responded to 800 N. Meridian where a paraprofessional reported her coat was stolen.

Nov. 7 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for speeding at Fifth and Meridian. During the stop, Ezell smelled an odor of alcohol. He subsequently arrested Darla Wallin on a charge of DUI. 

Nov. 7 — Officer Liliana Garcia responded to the 300 block of North Meridian for a welfare check. The calling party reported two students walking to school with no coats. Garcia located the children and contacted staff at the intermediate school who were able to provide coats from the Hornet's Closet.

Nov. 6 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Liliana Garcia responded to 641 N. Seneca and arrested Lily Leathers on a charge of using a false name to retrieve prescription medications.

Nov. 6 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Liliana Garcia assisted Valley Center fire at 317 E. Parkview Drive.

Nov. 5 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to the theft of a coat at Wheatland Elementary.

Nov. 5 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to a disturbance at 821 W. Third Street Terrace.

Nov. 5 — Officer Rasheed Berry followed up on a case at 428 N. Sheridan.

Nov. 5 — Officer Rasheed Berry assisted EMS at 230 S. Stoneridge.

Nov. 5 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to New Hope. A resident reported receiving a text from a person he was ordered not to have contact with by the court.

Nov. 5 — Officer Scott Hamlin checked for a fire due to heavy smoke at Second and Birch. He did not find a fire.

Nov. 5 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a non-injury accident in the 200 block of North Meridian.

Nov. 5 — Officer John Schoen followed up on a case by meeting with an individual at Fifth and Redbud regarding a prior accident.

Nov. 4 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 81st North and West to check the welfare of a driver who fit the description of a missing person who was contacted by an officer at Kwik Shop the night before. The woman was later found at St. Francis by Wichita police.

Nov. 4 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to vandalism at 350 S. Sheridan. Hamilton Trucking reported graffiti on one of its tractor-trailers.

Nov. 4 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance at 231 E. Main. A man and a woman were having a verbal argument in the parking lot. It was verbal only verbal.

Nov. 4 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance at New Hope. A resident was upset with the staff and made self-harming comments. Officer confirmed the comments were made out of anger.

Nov. 4 — Officer John Schoen checked the USD 262 learning center at 426 S. Meridian building after seeing lights on after hours. The building was secure.

Nov. 10 — 1240 E. Ford, No. 106, sick person.

Nov. 9 — 831 W. Fifth, unauthorized burning.

Nov. 8 — 821 W. Third Street Terrace, fall.

Nov. 7 — 9240 N. Seneca, permit.

Nov. 7 — 520 N. Abilene, difficulty breathing.

Nov. 6 — 531 W. Industrial, brush fire.

Nov. 6 — 8425 N. Broadway, systems alarm.

Nov. 6 — 317 E. Valley Park Drive, vehicle fire.

Nov. 5 — Third and Ash, unknown fire.

Nov. 5 — 7029 N. Charles, permit.

Nov. 5 — 8425 N. Broadway, systems alarm.

Nov. 5 — 910 S. Meridian, assist resident.

Nov. 5 — 230 S. Stoneridge, unconscious.

Nov. 4 — 821 W. Third Street Terrace, difficulty breathing.

Nov. 4 — 460 N. Emporia, assist resident.

Nov. 4 — 110 E. Fifth, lost adult.
