Police reports

July 14 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 1830 W. 69th North. A man requested a welfare check of a woman and her son when they did not show up for a custody exchange. No one was home.

July 14 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 715 N. Redbud for a welfare check of a woman requested by her husband. The woman told the officer she was leaving her husband because she was tired of being controlled.

July 14 — Officers John Schoen and Scott Hamlin responded to the theft of a motorized bicycle at 1240 E. Ford, No. 313. They searched the area but did not find the bicycles.

July 13 — Officer Jerry Ezell confirmed a Valley Center warrant for Christopher Tetrick who was in the custody of Wichita police.

July 12 — Officers Liliana Garcia and Eric Leeker inspected a uniform traffic violation at 709 N. Redbud.

July 12 — Officer Jerry Ezell assisted a woman at the station who reported that a man violated a protection-from-stalking order by emailing her and calling her cellphone several times. 

July 12 — Officer Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for a traffic violation at 700 N. Redbud. He arrested Heather Clark on a charge of DUI.

July 11 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to an alarm at 635 S. Abilene. It was false.

July 11 — Officers Ceara Metzger, Eric Leeker and Jeremy Manning responded to a domestic violence call at 1407 W. Evanston. No evidence of a crime was found.

July 11 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to 218 E. Allen and arrested Kimberlee Dearing for two Valley Center warrants.

July 11 — Officer Ryan Mumma provided traffic control at 69th North and Meridian while a motorist got a vehicle running.

July 11 — Officer Jerry Ezell helped arrange for a tow truck for a motorist whose vehicle was inoperable at 1500 S. Meridian.

July 10 — Officers Liliana Garcia, Ceara Metzger and Rasheed Berry responded to 127 S. Colby, No. 25. A woman requested a welfare check of her children, who live with their father. She had not heard from the children in two weeks and was worried. Officers spoke with the children, and they were OK.

July 10 — Officers Jerry Ezell, John Schoen and Ryan Mumma assisted Sedgwick County sheriff in trying to locate a reportedly suicidal person in the 1100 block of North Parkway.

July 9 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Ceara Metzger responded to an alarm at 1060 N. Meadow. It was false.

July 9 — Officer John Schoen responded to a noise complaint at 136 N. Dexter. The calling party reported their neighbors for blaring music.

July 9 — Officer John Schoen responded to assist the Sedgwick County sheriff with a traffic hazard at 125th North and Meridian. They checked the area, and no traffic hazards were found.

July 8 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Ceara Metzger assisted a person at the station. The calling party wanted documentation that a report was made on their 15-year-old daughter who is having problems at home.

July 8 — Officers Rasheed Berry and Ceara Metzger assisted animal control with complaints about a dog at 400 E. Eastridge. 

July 8 — Officer Serenity Donham took a report at the station for insurance purposes. It was regarding a July 6 incident in which Officer Ryan Mumma assisted in pushing a stalled vehicle out of a flooded intersection.

July 8 — Officer John Schoen and Sgt. J.C. Kirk responded to a disturbance at 144 S. Abilene. One person was yelling at a driver for texting and driving as she stopped at the stop sign. Contact was made with both parties without further incident.

July 14 — 518 N. Sheridan, diabetic complications.

July 14 — 9801 N. Broadway, seizure.

July 13 — 200 Colby, assist resident.

July 13 — 821 W. Third Street Terrace, unconscious.

July 13 — 200 S. Colby, fall.

July 12 — 11200 I-135, RV fire.

July 12 — 3800 W. Rio Grand Drive, permit.

July 12 — 7038 N. Chaparral, fall.

July 9 — 7150 N. Clarence, assist resident.

July 9 — 401 N. Burns, sick person.

July 9 — 616 E. Fifth, miscellaneous.

July 8 — 641 N. Seneca, difficulty breathing.

July 8 — 1407 W. Evanston, permit.
