During the past few days, there have been three wrecks involving deer in north Sedgwick County. On Feb. 9, a vehicle struck and killed a deer in the 12400 block of North 151st West. On Feb. 11, a vehicle struck a deer in the 7000 block of North Hydraulic. Also on Jan. 11, a vehicle struck and killed a deer in the 9800 block of North Greenwich. No drivers or passengers were hurt. ... On Feb. 7, Valley Center police officers responded the Public Safety Building for a pit bull brought there by two residents who found it at Kwik Shop. Officers turned the dog over to the Valley Center Animal League. ... First United Methodist Church in Valley Center will host its 61st annual pancake supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 19 in the church's Wesley Celebration Center. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. The supper is sponsored by the Homebuilders and New Life Sunday school classes.
