One of the six pieces of stationary fitness equipment at the soccer complex.

VCRC installs outdoor fitness

Last Updated: January 03, 2019

You won't need a gym membership to start your New Year's resolution to exercise more in 2019.

The Valley Center Recreation Commission recently installed six outdoor fitness stations at the McKay Family Soccer Complex near Valley Point Golf Course on North Emporia. The stations include a moving one that focuses on hips and core strength, a stationary one focused on abs, a leg press, a stationary pair of poles for dips or pushups in the standing position, a two-seater focused on upper-body strength and a stationary chin-up bar.

The stations were placed in a circuit, following the sidewalk around the soccer fields. They are open to the public.
