Use limb dump wisely
Last Updated: November 08, 2018

Don't abuse it.

The City of Valley Center's tree limb and brush dump in the industrial park is a valuable service that needs to be preserved.

The city decided to keep the site open during the weekdays and add one Saturday per month. That move came after the city had closed the brush pile entirely on the weekends.

Citing abuse by commercial tree trimmers and others, the city said it was costing too much money to get rid of the large stumps that were being left at the site.

The dump site is open to residents only. It accepts small tree limbs and branches, leaves and grass clippings.

We encourage residents to use the service with care. Don't dump large stumps and other debris and trash. Also, if residents see abuse happening, report it to the city.

The dump site is a convenience that should be protected.
