Hornets named all-league soccer

Six Valley Center High School soccer players received Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League II postseason honors this week.

Seniors Max Fields and Sam Fields were on the first team. Max was chosen as a defender and Sam as a forward.

Junior Austin Wolff was second-team as a midfielder. Senior Colby Swift was second-team goalkeeper.

Receiving honorable mention were junior Michael Love and freshman Cade Martin. Both are midfielders.

Valley Center finished 8-9 on the season.

Maize South's Rey Ramirez was named league coach of the year. MVP was Andrew Bliss of Maize South.
