BETTE WENZEL

Bette Jo (Camren) Wenzel, 87, of Wichita and formerly of Mount Hope, died Oct. 20, 2018.

She was born in Owasso, Okla., to Clyde Clinton and Wavey Jewel (Willard) Camren. After graduating from high school, she attended cosmetology school and taught sheet metal assembly at Cessna Aircraft. She was a longtime member of the Mount Hope Bible Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by sons Steve A. Bell, Robert L. Wenzel and Terry F. Wenzel, and her parents. Survivors include children Vicki (Frank) Baker and Rick (Carmen) Wenzel; grandchildren Coleen (John) Werner, Allen (Ashley) Porter, Stacey (Jeffery) Phillips, Blake (Valerie) Wenzel, Jessica (Craig) Eagan, Jodie (Matt) Smith and Manuel Wenzel; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Visitation is from 9 to 10:15 a.m., with funeral service at 10:30, both Oct. 25 at Mount Hope Bible Fellowship, 111 S. Thomas, Mount Hope. Graveside will follow at Halstead Cemetery. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center has charge.
