 DOROTHY SANDERSON Last Updated: October 25, 2018 Dorothy Ellen Sanderson, 90, of Valley Center, died Oct. 19, 2018. She was born July 6, 1928, and adopted a few days later Gilbert and Catherin Peterson. She grew up on a farm north of Eureka. She attended Bethany College in Lindsborg and later settled in Wichita, where she met her future husband, Walter Sanderson. They moved to Valley Center in 1961. She worked as a bookkeeper until she retired. She attended the Christian church for more than 60 years and was active with her Bible study group. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include sons Gary (Angeliquc) Sanderson of El Dorado and Terry (Jan) Sanderson of Valley Center, daughter Kathleen (Michael) George of Valley Center, 11 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and a large extended family. A viewing will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 26 with a celebration of her life to begin at 2 p.m., both at the Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth. Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center has charge. |
