Police reports

Oct. 7 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Matt Vogt responded to a criminal threat at 222 E. Second. The calling party said a person threatened to find where he was and beat him up.

Oct. 7 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Matt Vogt responded to a criminal threat at 110 E. Fifth. The calling party said his neighbor threatened to beat him up.

Oct. 7 — Officers Scott Hamlin and Jerry Ezell and Sgt. Matt Vogt responded to 739 W. Fifth. Two juveniles were reported walking in the road with no shoes or jackets in the rain. No contact was made.

Oct. 6 — Officer Serenity Donham responded to a noise complaint at 212 S. Meridian, Lot 13. She patrolled the area but heard no loud noise.

Oct. 5 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. Jason Easley responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident at Second and Abilene. One driver was cited for failure to yield at an uncontrolled intersection.

Oct. 5 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. Jason Easley responded to an alarm at 344 S. Meridian. It was false.

Oct. 5 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. Jason Easley responded to 218 N. Birch for a reported burglary. Upon returning home, the calling party noticed his front door was open. He observed all the drawers in his house were open as if someone had been inside. The only thing missing was some paperwork from his desk.

Oct. 5 — Officer Ryan Mumma and Sgt. Jason Easley responded to a criminal threat in the 800 block of North Meridian.

Oct. 5 — Officer Serenity Donham responded to Meridian for a man in the middle of the road trying to stop vehicles. She learned the man was intoxicated, was trying to get a ride to Wichita where he had a room and was unaware of how he got to Valley Center. He had no warrants, and Donham took him to the hotel.

Oct. 4 — Officer Eric Leeker took a report at the station from a woman who had issues with her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Oct. 4 — Sgt. Jason Easley was waived down by a customer at Walmart in the 5400 block of North Meridian who just had her purse stolen. Easley and Officer Ryan Mumma looked around for the suspect while waiting for Wichita police to arrive.

Oct. 4 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to domestic violence in the 200 block of North Dexter. The calling party said her former boyfriend had been leaving notes and gifts on her front door and trying to have other people contact her for him. Officer gave her information about how to obtain a protection-from-stalking order. He also called the suspect and told him to leave her alone.

Oct. 4 — Officer Serenity Donham responded to a non-injury accident at Fifth and Meridian. She issued a citation to one of the drivers involved.

Oct. 3 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a non-injury accident in the 900 block of West Cottonwood Drive.

Oct. 2 — Officers Scott Hamlin, Jerry Ezell and Erik Nygaard assisted Sedgwick County sheriff with a suspicious person in the 5400 block of North Gow.

Oct. 2 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Jerry Ezell stopped a motorist for a traffic violation in the 1800 block of East Ford. Kylie Kutter was issued a uniform criminal complaint for possession of drug paraphernalia and released. 

Oct. 2 — Officers Erik Nygaard, Rasheed Berry and Jerry Ezell responded to the 400 block of North Meeds Drive for a runaway and a stolen vehicle call. Officers processed a female and a male juvenile as runaways, each of whom reportedly stole a vehicle.

Oct. 1 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 9745 N. Oliver. The calling party reported losing the license plate on his motorcycle Sept. 22. He didn't notice it was gone until he washed the motorcycle. 

Oct. 1 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to the 100 block of South Birch for a reported violation of a protection-from-stalking order.

Oct. 1 — Officer Scott Hamlin assisted a resident at the station with reporting another violation of a protection-from-stalking order.

Oct. 8 — 125th North and Oliver, unconscious.

Oct. 8 — 460 N. Emporia, fall.

Oct. 6 — 1203 E. Ford, assist a resident.

Oct. 5 — 6 E. Miles Court, assist a resident.

Oct. 5 — 7953 N. West Street, permit.

Oct. 5 — Second and Abilene, injury auto accident.

Oct. 5 — K-15 and E. 95th South, Derby, injury auto accident.

Oct. 4 — Meadow and Interurban, water issue.

Oct. 4 — 522 N Abilene, difficulty breathing.

Oct. 4 — Third and Ash, house fire.

Oct. 2 — 12300 N. I-135, injury auto accident.

Oct. 2 — 2859 E. Fifth, permit.

Oct. 1 — 9 E. Hickory Court, check for gas odor in a building.

Oct. 1 — 490 W. 101st North, assist resident.
