Aug. 14 — Officer Blake Sanchez and Sgt. Richard Wolff responded to the 5800 block of North Hydraulic for a report of an unknown male and female walking down the road. Officers spoke with the individuals who said their car broke down at 13th North and I-135. They refused assistance.

Aug. 14 — Officer Blake Sanchez responded to the 5100 block of North Broadway. A business reported someone tried to pass bad checks with its bank information in several states.  

Aug. 14 — Officer Blake Sanchez took a report at the station from a woman who said her children told her about abuse that occurred in 2010. Officer notified the Exploited and Missing Child Unit.

Aug. 14 — Officer Christopher Shields took a fraud report from the 2200 block of East Charleston. The calling party reported receiving phone calls from someone who claimed to be with the IRS saying it was going to use the police to collect a tax debt. The calling party never spoke to the person and didn't give any information, but wanted police to be aware.

Aug. 14 — Officers Christopher Shields and Cole Haas responded to the 6300 block of North West Parkview. The calling party reported hearing noises in her backyard on a couple of nights for the past couple of weeks, and her trash carts were moved down the street.

Aug. 14 — Officers Christopher Shields and Cole Haas responded to a horse at-large in the 9200 block of North Broadway. The owner retrieved the horse before officers arrived.

Aug. 14 — Officer Luke Tibbits assisted Wichita police in the 5900 block of North Air Cap Drive with a vehicle that had been towed to this location.

Aug. 13 — Officers Blake Sanchez and Edwyn Diaz responded to the 5100 block of North Broadway to where the calling party had pinged his stolen phone. Officers located the phone and returned it to the owner.

Aug. 13 — Officer Edwyn Diaz took a fraud report at the station. The calling party said someone tried to use his identity to obtain a credit card.

Aug. 13 — Officers Edwyn Diaz and Blake Sanchez responded to disorderly conduct in the 6300 block of North Mobile. The calling party received another unwanted letter from an unknown person wanting a response from the first letter.

Aug. 13 — Officer Blake Sanchez responded to the 1400 block of East Evanston. He trespassed an individual from the property at the request of the calling party.

Aug. 13 — Officers Blake Sanchez and Edwyn Diaz responded to the 1400 block of East 61st North for a report of an intoxicated woman lying in the grass. They checked the area but did not find anyone matching the description.

Aug. 13 — Cpl. Tracey Prideaux and Officer Cody McCall contacted the intoxicate woman in the previous call in the 1500 block of East 61st North. They gave her a ride to the truck stop, which was her destination.

Aug. 13 — Sgt. Keith Goodall followed up in the 5900 block of North Air Cap Drive.

Aug. 13 — Officer Cody McCall responded to an alarm in the 4800 block of North Heritage Court. It was false.

Aug. 13 – Officer Cody McCall and Sgt. Keith Goodall stopped a vehicle with stolen plates in the 900 block of East Connolly Court. Officers took the plate and arrested Justice B. Hiner for warrants from Wichita and Ellis County.

Aug. 13 — Sgt. Keith Goodall and Officer Cody McCall responded to an alarm in the 6200 block of North Broadway. It was false.

Aug. 13 — Officers Todd Langford and Luke Tibbits responded to the 6400 block of North Upchurch Drive for someone standing by the calling party's neighbor's vehicle. Officers spoke with the calling party who said the suspicious character was her neighbor's dog. Everything was OK.
