Sports preview nights Aug. 23, 24 By The News staff Last Updated: August 23, 2018 Valley Center Middle School and High School will host a fall sports preview Aug. 23 and 24. On Aug. 23, volleyball will be showcased in the main gym at the high school. Middle school scrimmage and introductions will take place from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and high school scrimmage and introductions will be 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Football, soccer, cross country, cheer, golf, tennis and dance will be highlighted on Aug. 24 at the District Stadium. The event will begin with third-fourth-grade and fifth-sixth-grade football from 6 to 6:30 p.m., and Junior Cheer introductions at 6:20 p.m. Middle school football will be introduced from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Cross country, golf and tennis introductions will be from 7 to 7:05 p.m. and dance and cheer (seventh through 12th) will be 7:05 to 7:10 p.m. The high school football team will scrimmage from 7:10 to 7:45 p.m. Soccer players will be introduced at 7:50 p.m., and a soccer scrimmage will take place from 7:55 to 8:55 p.m. |
