Heard on Main Street Last Updated: April 26, 2018 The average price for a gallon of gas in the Wichita area fell 5.5 cents during the past week, averaging $2.45 on April 22. The national average increased 3.4 cents per gallon to $2.75, according to GasBuddy.com. Gas prices were 20.5 cents higher than the same day last year and 2.0 cents lower than a month ago. If you would be willing to loan your wedding dress and a picture of you in the dress (optional), no matter what year you were married, call Pam Porter at 755-3237 or bring it to 214 W. Main. If enough dresses are obtained, a display will be presented at the Valley Center Museum during June. The museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 28. Bring your wedding dresses. They are needed by May 15. The Valley Center Animal League will hold a microchip clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 28 at 106 N. Ash in Valley Center. The cost for each pet is $15 for Valley Center-area residents and $20 for those outside the Valley Center area. For more information, call Ray Sledge at 305-3299. On April 17, Park City police officers responded to an alarm in the 300 block of West 53rd North. They found six tractor-trailers on fire and notified Sedgwick County Fire Department. |
