Police reports

March 18 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to 2130 W. 69th North for a welfare check. The calling party had received text messages from her son's girlfriend. The son said he was moving out and was trying to have his mother come to get him.

March 18 — Officer Ceara Metzger and Sgt. Matt Vogt responded to Fifth and Interurban for a welfare check of kids playing on the railroad tracks. The kids were gone when officers arrived.

March 18 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to vandalism at North Meridian Storage, 1220 S. Meridian. The calling party said two vehicles twice entered different storage units where someone spray-painted the cameras and damaged a unit door. The case is under investigation.

March 18 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted a resident having issues with neighbors who didn't like them feeding the cats in the neighborhood, even though they have permission from the property managers. The information was forwarded to animal control.

March 18 — Officer Ceara Metzger followed up at 1220 S. Meridian.

March 18 — Officer Rasheed Berry assisted Valley Center fire at 7850 N. Buena Vista Drive. A person needed help getting up from the floor into a chair.

March 18 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to a burglary at 212 S. Meridian, No. 9. A couple had moved into the calling party's home while he had been in Topeka since February. After moving in, the calling party asked them to look for his shotgun and golf clubs, which were missing. The couple was unable to give the officer any detail about the shotgun or the golf clubs. 

March 17 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to an alarm at 8421 N. Broadway. It was false.

March 17 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to 97th North and Hoover Road to assist Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office with suspicious activity that occurred 12 hours before the call. The suspects were gone when the officer arrived.

March 17 — Officer Erik Nygaard assisted Kechi police with a report of shots fired at 101st North and Hillside. He drove around the area but did not hear any shots or any loud noises.

March 17 — Officer Erik Nygaard assisted Park City police at 1045 E. Hopalong Cassidy Drive with a disturbance. The calling party said three intoxicated men took a motorcycle into their room and were revving the engine and yelling and causing a disturbance. The men were escorted off the property with no issues.

March 16 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a non-injury accident at 222 S. Meridian. 

March 16 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a medical issue at 416 N. Dexter.

March 16 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to an alarm at 1602 W. 61st North. It was false.

March 16 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a stop sign down at Fifth and Seneca. Manning and a city crew got the sign back up.

March 16 — Officer Erik Nygaard responded to 258 E. Allen. The calling party saw someone enter his truck and then leave the scene. The calling party said nothing missing or broken. Nygaard was unable to locate the suspect.

March 15 — Officer Jeremy Manning provided a funeral escort at 1801 E. Fifth.

March 14 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger attended municipal court and transported inmates.

March 14 — Officers Jeremy Manning and Ceara Metzger stopped a vehicle at Fifth and High Point. They arrested Juillia Journey on a charge of driving with a suspended license.

March 13 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of West Scott. The calling party said his wife and daughter had gotten into an altercation. The daughter had grabbed her mother, dug her nails into her arm and left marks on her mother's arm.

March 13 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance at 131 N. Park. It was a verbal dispute between the owner and his 34-year-old son. 

March 13 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to reckless driving at 726 W. Deerfield. The neighbors reported a young man driving recklessly in the neighborhood. The suspect was not located, but his father was informed of the situation.

March 13 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to 7400 N. Hoover Road. A suspicious vehicle was reportedly parked on the side of the road with its lights on. Hamlin spoke with the driver, who was with the gas company and was operating an electronic sensor on the gas line underneath the road.

March 12 — Officer Ceara Metzger provided a funeral escort from Baker Funeral Home, 100 S. Cedar, to 77th North and Broadway.

March 12 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to 93rd North and Meridian for a non-injury accident.

March 12 — Officers Ceara Metzger and Scott Hamlin responded to 416 N. Dexter. The calling party said her father's door was busted in and her mother took some items. Officers explained to both parties this was a civil issue.

March 12 — Officer Ceara Metzger assisted Sedgwick County sheriff with a burglary in-progress at 109th North and Hoover Road.

March 12 — Officer Ceara Metzger responded to Wheatland Elementary at 800 Meadow Road. The principal wanted assistance with a parent who was having issues. Everything was OK and cleared from the scene.

March 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 109th North and Hoover Road with a burglary in progress call.

March 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to 746 N. Abilene on a disturbance call. The calling party said that while out of town March 9 with her children, her ex-husband entered her home without her permission.

March 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin responded to a disturbance at 542 N. Allen. The apartment owner said his tenants were having issues with several juveniles riding bicycles and skateboards on the property. Officer found the juveniles and told them to ride elsewhere.

March 12 — Officer Scott Hamlin assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 10201 N. Broadway. A resident reported seeing a man talking with himself and yelling, and walking onto their property. Hamlin could not find the man.

March 16 — 416 N. Dexter, deceased person.

March 16 — 13005 W. 104th North, unknown fire.

March 16 — 460 N. Emporia, unknown EMS.

March 16 — 1040 N. Meadow, chest pains.

March 15 — 4120 Rio Grande Drive, permit.

March 15 — 603 N. Meridian, difficulty breathing.

March 13 — 429 N. Abilene, seizure.

March 12 — 101 N. Hillside, unknown fire.

March 12 — 825 W. 77th North, permit.

March 12 — 230 W. Fifth, medical emergency.

March 12 — 641 N. Seneca, difficulty breathing.

March 12 — 821 W. Third Terrace, bleeding..

March 10 — 10835 N. West Street, injury accident.

March 10 — 1009 W. Meadow Lake Circle, brush fire.

March 10 — 333 S. Sheridan Court, deceased person.
