KEVIN McMINNVILLE

Kevin Wayne McMinnville, 54, of Wichita, died Feb. 28, 2018.

He was born in Wichita to Roy L. McMinnville Jr. and Ann Cummins. He was raised in the Springfield, Mo.- area. After graduating from Glendale High School in 1982, he moved to the Wichita/Valley Center area. He raced at 81 Speedway and won the Hutchinson Grand Nationals in 1989. He worked as a machinist at Boeing and Spirit, then became an NC programmer. He was the former owner/president of Square Peg NC Tech, and worked an NC programmer manager at Precise Machining and Manufacturing. He attended Wichita State and Friends universities and received a bachelor's degree.

Survivors include son Zachary McMinnville; daughter Emily McMinnville; parents Ann Cummins and Roy L. (Kathleen) McMinnville Jr.; stepmother Dorothy Stutler; sisters Jennifer (Aaron) Kottkamp and Kristie McMinnville; brothers Travis (Lynn) McMinnville, Christopher Schnoor, Jeff Cummins and Sherman Ray Cummins; nephews Jake, Jack and Ben; and many other family and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. March 16 at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center, with graveside service following at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita.
