WILBUR BLACK

Wilbur Bert Black, 88, of Valley Center, died March 10, 2018.

He was born in Exeter, Mo., to Herman and Mildred Black. He attended school in Exeter and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked at Beech Aircraft before owning and operating Sea Bea Trash Service, retiring in 1998.

He was preceded in death by his wife Fern (Nelson) Black, parents, sister Patsy Clair, brothers Hershel and Jerry Black, and grandson Christopher Cooper Black.

Survivors include daughter Shelia (Kenneth) Haas, sons Clifford Black and Brett (Fran) Black all of Valley Center, and son Gary (Greta) Black of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. March 14 at Baker Funeral Home, Valley Center. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. March 15 at Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth, Valley Center. Graveside service with military honors will follow at Kechi Township Cemetery, 6523 N. Hillside, Wichita.
