ELWOOD ERICKSON Last Updated: February 01, 2018 Elwood Willard "Woody" Erickson, 91, of Bel Aire, died Jan. 20, 2018. He was born in a small Minnesota farm town June 29, 1926. He served in the Army Air Force after World War II being one of the first group of soldiers to arrive for the U.S. occupation of Japan after its surrender. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neveda and Myron Erickson, and wife of 62 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Erickson. Survivors include daughter Deborah (Jan Mark) Hoffman; sons William M. "Bill" (Christine) Erickson and Jeffrey M. Erickson; sisters Neva Mae Fundarek and Gloria Gallant; granddaughters Emily Rose Hoffman and Destiny Erickson; grandsons Sean and Jesse (Jennifer) Erickson and Nathan Erickson; great-grandsons Ezra Sol and Neloh Erickson; nieces, Edye (Wayne) Mizzi, Carrie Fundarek, Cindy Gallant; and great-nieces Dayne and Haley. A private family service was planned. Memorial to the Alzheimer's Association. Downing & Lahey Mortuary East Chapel has charge. |
