Dec. 10 — Valley Center Officer Ceara Metzger responded to 205 Tanner Trail Court. The calling party said a raccoon was in his front yard, walking really slow and stumbling. Metzger found the raccoon two houses down and contained it until animal control arrived to pick it up.

Dec. 10 — Valley Center Officers Rasheed Berry and Scott Hamlin responded to a suspicious person at 703 N. Redbud. The calling party said someone was knocking on her door and ringing her doorbell. Officers discovered the person ringing the bell was one of the calling party's friends.

Dec. 10 — Park City Officer Tracey Prideaux and Sgt. Keith Goodall responded to the 6500 block of North West Parkview. The calling party said someone was holding their lost dog for ransom. After officers spoke with the suspects and explained what theft was, the dog was returned.

Dec. 5 — Valley Center Officer Ceara Metzger assisted a resident at the station who said a vehicle was missing from their home at 332 N. Dexter. The vehicle was repossessed, and the resident hadn't been notified.
