 Flaming squirrel causes fire Last Updated: December 14, 2017 Valley Center fire Chief Lonnie Tormey finishes putting out a grass fire in the backyard of a home in the 600 block of North Meridian Dec. 12. A squirrel caught fire on an overhead electrical line, fell and ignited the grass. The fire was contained to a small area and did not affect any structures. The incident caused a brief power outage in the north part of the city. The squirrel died. |
