Police reports

Aug. 20 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to 105 W. Goff for a non-injury accident with property hit and run. A vehicle jumped the curb, hit a flower pot and left the scene without stopping.

Aug. 20 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to an alarm at 220 E. Ford. It was false.

Aug. 20 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 522 N. Dexter for a disturbance between two people. One person kicked the other out of her house and wanted him trespassed from the property.

Aug. 19 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to 104 Northwind for two dogs at-large. He returned the dogs to their home.

Aug. 19 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to an alarm at 760 S. Eastridge. A family came over and didn't know the alarm code. The homeowner arrived and cleared the alarm.

Aug. 18 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS at 218 N. Ash.

Aug. 18 — Officer Erik Nygaard arrested Mark Nixon for a Sedgwick County warrant in the 6800 block of North Meridian.

Aug. 17 — Officer Jeremy Manning patrolled school zones and monitored traffic.

Aug. 17 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS in the 800 block of Meadow Road.

Aug. 16 — Officers Jeremy Manning and J.C. Kirk responded to 827 N. Quail Drive where a man was seen trying to break into vehicles. When officers arrived, they noticed a pickup leaving the area, and the driver matched the description. In trying to stop the vehicle, Manning pursued it through Valley Center to 61st North and Air Cap Drive in Park City, where the suspects rammed the patrol car. Both occupants were arrested and taken to Sedgwick County jail. The truck was reported as stolen out of Wichita. 

Aug. 15 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 4900 W. 69th with a residential alarm. He met with the homeowner and disregarded the deputy. Everything was OK.

Aug. 15 — Officer J.C. Kirk found a vehicle that had been left for several days in the parking lot at 801 S. Meridian. The vehicle was not reported stolen. 

Aug. 15 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted a resident with a reported hit-and-run accident that occurred in the high school parking lot Aug. 14. The case is under investigation.

Aug. 15 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 220 W. Kechi Road where Kechi police were holding a wanted person. Officer arrested Joshua Jones for a Valley Center warrant.

Aug. 15 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to the 700 block of South Dexter for a minor with alcohol and sexual battery call. The case is under investigation.

Aug. 15 — Officer Ryan Mumma assisted Valley Center fire at 440 N. Emporia. The calling party fell and was unable to get up. Firemen helped her back to her feet, and she was not injured.

Aug. 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk contacted two people about trash dumped Aug. 13 at 531 W. Industrial. They picked up what was illegally dumped and were told to not dump anything except brush.

Aug. 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to 314 W. Southwind Drive for a welfare check. A 7-year-old boy, who is deaf, tried to get into the house to play with a boy his age. He was located and told through a sign language interpreter that it was against the law to enter a home without permission and to not do it again. Kirk informed his mother, who is also deaf, of the incident and she understood. The boy was fine and with his mother.

Aug. 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted a resident with a theft report. Kirk found out the theft occurred in Wichita and referred the resident to Wichita police.

Aug. 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 335 S. Sheridan Court in looking for a warrant suspect. 

Aug. 14 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to domestic violence in the 2700 block of West 69th North.

Aug. 14 — Officer Ryan Mumma assisted Park City police with an alarm at 911 E. 53rd North. It was false.

Aug. 14 — Officer Ryan Mumma assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 2500 W. 109th North by checking the bridge for parked cars. He found two cars and told the occupants to go home.

Aug. 14 — Officer Ryan Mumma assisted EMS in the 300 block of North Ash.

Aug. 20 — 200 S. Dexter, check electrical wiring.

Aug. 19 — 460 N. Emporia, No. 124, difficulty breathing.

Aug. 18 — 511 W. Ness, burn permit.

Aug. 18 — 218 N. Ash, unconscious person.

Aug. 18 — 125 S. Sheridan, burn permit.

Aug. 18 — 6244 N. Sullivan, burn permit.

Aug. 17 — 800 N. Meadow Road, fall.

Aug. 17 — 414 N. Meridian, chest pain.

Aug. 17 — 170 N. Poplar, chest pain.

Aug. 16 — 440 N. Emporia, No. 405, assist citizen.

Aug. 16 — 1010 W. Cottonwood, check smoke outside.

Aug. 15 — 338 N. Ash, sick person.

Aug. 14 — 1158 N. Longview Drive, fall.
