AYSO begins fall registration

Valley Center's AYSO Region 253 is hosting fall registration for the upcoming session. The first in-person registration will be 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Riverlawn Church, 4243 N. Meridian. The second in-person registration will be 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 26 at Valley Center Pizza Hut, 344 S. Meridian. On-line registration is available at www.ayso.bluesombrero.com/region253.

Registration fees are $110 for the first player and $100 for each additional player. Early registration until Aug. 26 is $100 for the first player and $90 for each additional player.

Age groups are determined by birth year. Divisions are as follows:

•19U — ages 17, 18 and 19 — birth years 1999, 2000 and 2001.

•16U — ages 16 and 15 — birth years 2002 and 2003.

•14U — ages 13 and 14 — birth years 2004 and 2005.

•12U — ages 11 and 12 — birth years 2006 and 2007.

•10U — ages 9 and 10 — birth years 2008 and 2009.

•8U — ages 7 and 8 — birth years 2010 and 2011.

•6U — ages 5 and 6 — birth years 2012 and 2013.

This past season Valley Center AYSO had more than 300 kids. Fall season games start Sept. 16 and end Nov. 4. The Valley Center AYSO soccer fields are located on North Emporia Street behind the police and fire departments.
