By The News staff
Last Updated: August 10, 2017

A vacuum, a leaf blower and a hedge trimmer. Those were just some of the items missing in separate burglaries in Valley Center during the past week.

On Aug. 2, police responded to a burglary in the 100 block of South Colby. The owner of a duplex said a window of one of the residences was broken into, but the owner was unable to tell if items were missing from the home, which did not have a resident at the time.

On Aug. 3, police responded to a burglary in the 1000 block of Meadow, where the resident said the house was broken into and a vacuum was stolen. No other items were missing.

The next day, police were called to the 400 block of North Ash where two juveniles allegedly broke into a window and a neighbor caught them and stopped them. The property owner said no one is allowed on the property.

On Aug. 6, a burglary was reported in the 500 block of Backwoods Court. The thief entered a garage in the middle of the night and took a leaf blower and hedge trimmer. According to police, a surveillance photograph showed that the suspect had a Chicago Bulls cap on.
