BENNIE WILLIAMS

Bennie Ray Williams, 69, of Austin, Texas, died July 1, 2017.

He was born Jan. 15, 1948, in Paducah, Texas, to Willie (Bill) Ray Williams and Mamie (King) Williams. He graduated from Cotton Center High School and West Texas State University. He married Juretta Darlene Peel on Dec. 30, 1966. He was a salesman for 25 years at Pitney Bowes.  He worked in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, and in Topeka and Wichita. He opened a MinuteMan Press in Austin and a steakhouse in Comanche, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Pat Williams of Midland, Texas. Survivors include his wife; daughter Tammie Rae Williams-Cockshutt of Lubbock, Texas; son Michael Todd Williams of Austin; sister Jean Findling of Utopia, Texas; five grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and many other family members.  

A memorial service was held July 8 at the Central Church of Christ in Del Rio, Texas.
