Park City sees car break-ins By The News staff Last Updated: June 29, 2017 A rash of vehicle burglaries in Park City have police reminding residents to lock their cars. Police responded to reports of nine burglaries and a car theft June 21. Most vehicles were unlocked. A vehicle left unlocked in the 6500 block of Upchurch Court had a GPS, $2 in change and a throwing knife stolen. A vehicle left unlocked in the 2600 block of East Fairchild had a key and key fob stolen. A vehicle left unlocked in the 2600 block of East Cambridge had IDs, debit card and cash stolen. A commercial vehicle left unlocked in the 2600 block of East Burlington had a GPS device stolen. Two unlocked vehicles in the 2400 block of East Ventnor had about $150 in loose change stolen. Police recovered a flashlight that the burglar apparently left behind in one of the vehicles At least four other unlocked vehicles in the area were entered, but nothing was reported missing. Police said a Honda Odyssey, which was left unlocked with the keys inside, was stolen from the 6800 block of North Upchurch. The vehicle was later discovered in a tree row in the 1700 block of East Charleston. |
