Police reports

June 18 — Officer Joe Dessenberger was contacted by a resident about a tree damaged in the storm overnight at 328 W. Third. Tree limbs were hanging over all traffic lanes and were in danger of falling to the ground. Officer contacted Public Works and the road was closed until a tree service could remove the hazard.

June 18 — Officer Joe Dessenberger assisted EMS in the 500 block of West First.

June 18 — Officer Joe Dessenberger responded to 118 N. Park to check the welfare of a patient with an oxygen system alarm. The alarm had activated, and the company was unable to contact the patient. The residence lost power in the storm, but the patient was doing well. Family was on the scene waiting for power to be restored.

June 18 — Officer Rasheed Berry responded to 200 S. Meridian for an at-large dog. Phone numbers on the dog's tags were for City Hall and a vet. A city worker collected the dog until June 19 when he would turn it over to animal control.

June 17 — Sgt. Matt Vogt red stickered a car with an expired tag and a flat tire at Fourth and Meridian.

June 17 — Sgt. Matt Vogt red stickered a truck with flat tire at 100 N. Ash.

June 17 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to Third and Birch for a non-injury accident.

June 16 — Officer Allen Adams responded to a miscellaneous call at 400 N. Meeds.

June 16 — Officer Allen Adams responded to an embezzlement call at 5332 W. 77th North.

June 16 — Officer Erik Nygaard responded to a disturbance at 131 S. Colby, No. 59. The calling party heard yelling and screaming in an apartment above hers. It turned out to be children arguing. No actual disturbance was found.

June 16 — Officer Erik Nygaard forwarded a report to the Exploited and Missing Child Unit about a juvenile found at Wesley West emergency room.

June 16 — Officer Erik Nygaard assisted EMS at 460 N. Emporia.

June 15 — Officer Jason Easley checked the welfare at Main and Meridian.

June 15 — Officers Eric Leeker and Erik Nygaard assisted Valley Center fire at Fourth and Park with down power lines.

June 15 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a road hazard in the 6500 block of North Interurban. He called Public Works after finding a tree in the road.

June 15 — Officer Erik Nygaard responded to a suspicious person at Main and Meridian. The calling party reported a vehicle parked on the southwest corner with its trunk open. Officer checked the area but did not find any cars parked on the corner that did not belong there.

June 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Valley Center fire at 7811 N. Buena Vista with smoke in a house. It was determined the sump pump had burned up.

June 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk checked the welfare at 841 N. Redbud. The man was OK; he had changed his phone number. The man said that he would call the concerned party.

June 14 — Officer J.C. Kirk transported an inmate to court and back to jail.

June 14 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Rasheed Berry checked both McLaughlin and Lion parks.

June 14 — Officers Jeremy Manning, Erik Nygaard, Ryan Mumma and Rasheed Berry assisted Valley Center fire at 527 N. Emporia. A resident fell, was unable to get up and complained of back and knee pain. EMS transported him to Newton Medical Center.

June 13 — Officer J.C. Kirk followed up on a case at 627 Parkway Court.

June 13 — Officer J.C. Kirk monitored traffic in the Valley Center High School parking lot.

June 13 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Rasheed Berry responded to Dover and Dexter for a non-injury accident.

June 13 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Rasheed Berry responded to 601 S. Eastridge for a reported suicide call.

June 12 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to 200 Fiddlers Creek Court for a suspicious vehicle. He checked the area for a truck filled with metal, but it had left before he arrived.

June 12 — Officers Jason Easley and Allen Adams responded to a disturbance at 520 Albert. There was no disturbance.

June 12 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Rasheed Berry assisted Park City police at 501 E. 63rd North with an abuse case.

June 12 — Officers Ryan Mumma, Rasheed Berry and Jeremy Manning responded to 219 E. Third for a domestic disturbance. The calling party said her husband came to their house and started yelling at her and his mother about an incident that occurred over the weekend.

June 12 — Officers Ryan Mumma, Rasheed Berry and Jeremy Manning responded to the 1000 block of East Ford for a reported suicide call. The calling party said her friend was on a bridge near the Dollar General and was threatening to jump.

June 12 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted Valley Center fire and EMS at 131 S. Colby.
