Man arrested after vehicle enters pond
By Chris Strunk
Last Updated: April 20, 2017

A Wichita man was arrested on a charge of DUI after allegedly driving his car into a pond in a rural neighborhood northeast of Valley Center.

In a report, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office said a vehicle driven by Brandon Hamilton was eastbound on Idle Banks (north of 85th and east of Oliver) when it left the road and went into a pond.

The man escaped harm and was not in the area when authorities arrived. He was later located and was subsequently arrested and booked into jail. The vehicle was pulled out of the water and towed away.
