ROBERT BARBOUR

Robert "Bob" Laverne Barbour, 75, died April 11, 2017.

He was born Aug. 15, 1941, to Robert and Skippy Barbour in Cullison. While living in Dodge City, he was an all-state high school athlete in baseball and golf. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and afterward graduated from Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia. He worked 30 years for the Rainbo Baking Company.

Survivors include sons Jeff (Rhonda) McKibbin and Brad (Stacy) Barbour, all of Valley Center; daughter Lori (Troy) Ledbetter of Wichita; grandchildren Amber Harris, Stephannie Erie, Chance McKibbin, Cooper McKibbin, Hannah Barbour, Jason Barbour, Alexandria Barbour, Tyler Brown and Ian Dowty; great-grandchildren Kyler Harris, Nolyn Harris, Payton Bowling, Revyn McKibbin, Aleana Erie and Koby Erie.

Memorials with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita KS 67202 and Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 7901 W. 21st North, Wichita KS 67205.

Funeral service was April 14 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Downing and Lahey Mortuary West had charge.
