Jan. 22 — Valley Center Officer Joe Dessenberger assisted Wichita police by attempting to locate the owner of a vehicle at 418 N. Sheridan. The vehicle was found in a pond on private property at 1520 S. Tyler with keys still in it. No contact was made.

Jan. 18 — Valley Center Officers Sara Schaller, J.C. Kirk and Ceara Metzger responded to check the welfare of a resident at 1224 E. Ford Apt. 213. The calling party was a baby babbling into the phone. The mother answered the door and everything was OK.

Jan. 17 — Valley Center Officer Ryan Mumma responded to a suspicious character at Allen and Abilene. The calling party reported that a man let his dog out of the vehicle and made his dog run alongside the vehicle. Officer searched the area, but the suspect was not found.

Jan. 16 — Valley Center Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 672 N. Redbud Court where a snake was loose in the house. Officer removed the snake and set it free outside. No person or animal was harmed.
