Police reports

June 12 — Officer Sara Schaller found a pair of women's sunglasses and a black hair comb during a pre-shift inspection of a squad car. She placed the items in found property.

June 12 — Officers Michael Gordon and Sara Schaller checked church parking lots and the park restrooms.

June 12 — Officers Michael Gordon and Sara Schaller responded to 9800 N. Broadway for cows at-large. They searched the area but did not find the cattle. They did find a large area of missing fence where the cows could get out.

June 12 — Sgt. Matt Vogt attended the library's Touch-A-Truck event at Lions Park.

June 12 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Sedgwick County sheriff, Park City police and Kechi police at 109th North and Hydraulic in checking a vehicle in the ditch. When officers got close, the vehicle left northbound at a high rate of speed. It was located at 1530 Glocker where officers spoke with its occupants. The driver and his ex-girlfriend said they were in the area to look at stars. The driver was sent home, and a deputy took the juvenile passenger home.

June 12 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado saw a man hiding in the shadows outside a residence at 317 E. Sixth. When Delgado turned on his spotlight, the individual ran to the east, jumped the fence and fled through the backyard of the house next door. Delgado gave chase on foot, but was unable to locate the individual.

June 11 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 127 S. Colby, Apt. 35. The calling party said he loaned his vehicle to his girlfriend but she had not returned it. He did not want to press charges.

June 11 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to an alarm at 6900 N. Meridian. The building was secure, and the alarm was deemed false.

June 11 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 129 S. Colby. A resident turned in a phone with a driver's license inside the case.

June 11 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 532 Hickory Lane where a woman found World War II ammunition while cleaning her father's storage shed. Officer took the ammunition to the station where the Wichita police bomb squad arrived and took custody of it.

June 10 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 1240 E. Ford, Apt. 103, for a domestic disturbance. The calling party reported her neighbor screaming and possibly harming someone inside the home. After speaking with the neighbor, officer determined it was a misunderstanding.

June 10 — Officer Ryan Mumma met with a person at the station who reported someone had been writing checks in his name and spending them at stores in the county.

June 10 — Officer Eric Leeker was on foot patrol at the Valley View Apartments, 100 S. Colby, when he heard a car horn honking continuously. He found a wrecked vehicle, and the driver admitted to drinking and hitting a car. Officer Erik Nygaard was called out to work the DUI portion of the call. Officers cited Bryan Straight on a charge of DUI and the passenger, Jennifer Straight, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

June 9 — Officers Ryan Mumma, Sara Schaller and Jason Easley and Det. Jay Grayson checked the welfare at 617 Wakefield. There had been a report of young children left at home alone.

June 9 — Officers Ryan Mumma, Sara Schaller and Jason Easley tried to serve a warrant at 627 Parkway. They did not find the individual.

June 9 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley checked a business at 255 E. Allen. They checked the pool and Lions Park.

June 9 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley provided backup for Sedgwick County sheriff at 8715 N. Jacobs.

June 9 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley assisted EMS at 255 E. Allen.

June 9 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Sedgwick County sheriff with a traffic stop at 11400 N. I-135.

June 9 — Officer Erik Nygaard assisted Park City police with a suspicious person at 5757 N. Broadway.

June 8 — Officers Michael Gordon and Ryan Mumma checked the welfare at 100 W. Industrial. A man was reportedly planning to commit suicide. He was transported to ComCare for evaluation.

June 8 — Officers Michael Gordon and Ryan Mumma assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 93rd North and Interurban with a cow at-large. The owners were located.

June 8 — Officers Michael Gordon and Ryan Mumma responded to 255 E. Allen for a suspicious person. They looked for a man reportedly following a woman and asking young kids their names.

June 8 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Erik Nygaard assisted Park City police by stopping a truck at 400 N. Park.

June 7 — Officer Michael Gordon answered questions about micro-utility vehicles for a resident at 225 N. Miles.

June 7 — Officer Michael Gordon fingerprinted a resident for a teacher's license.

June 7 — Officer Shannon Meyer and Sgt. Thomas Delgado answered questions on the phone.

June 7 — Officer Shannon Meyer and Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to an animal at-large. A chocolate lab was found at 328 Fieldstone. After trying to locate the owner, the dog was taken to the animal shelter.

June 7 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted EMS at 460 N. Emporia.

June 7 — Officer Shannon Meyer and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Park City police by checking the welfare of a Park City officer at the QuikTrip. The officer had been flagged down and didn't answer his radio when called. The officer was OK.

June 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to 9800 N. Broadway for cows at-large. The officer saw they had gone back into their area.

June 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted EMS at 131 N. Abilene.

June 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 2600 W. 93rd North with cows at-large. They contacted a residence at 9618 N. West.

June 6 — Officer Michael Gordon signed off on a fix-it ticket at the station.

June 6 — Officer Michael Gordon spoke with a woman who wanted police to contact her leasing company and tell them they had to let her into her residence to get her stuff after she had been evicted. Officer told her this was a civil matter, and they could not get involved.

June 6 — Officer Michael Gordon fingerprinted a resident for a medical license.

June 6 — Officer Michael Gordon took evidence to the Sedgwick County forensics lab.

June 6 — Officers Michael Gordon, Sara Schaller and Jason Easley responded to a 911 hang-up call at 7005 N. Interurban. No contact was made, and the home was locked.

June 6 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley checked the welfare at 1449 S. Meridian after a little girl called 911 and said she was home alone and missed her mommy. Offices discovered the address was not valid. Dispatch said the address was based off a cellphone tower ping. The officers checked several houses in the area but were not able to contact the calling party.

June 6 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley provided backup for Sedgwick County sheriff during a traffic stop.

June 6 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley checked a business at 255 E. Allen.

June 6 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to the 200 block of West Ash for a suspicious person. He checked a man on foot who resembled someone with an outstanding warrant. Officer determined the subject was not the person in question and allowed him to leave. Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley responded to Main and Ash to provide backup.

June 6 — Officers Sara Schaller and Jason Easley and Sgt. Matt Vogt spoke with an individual who came to the station wanting an officer to accompany him to his residence to move his stuff out while his ex-girlfriend was there. Officers advised this was a civil issue. They told him to try moving his stuff out on his own and to call 911 if something happened.

June 6 — Officer Shannon Meyer called to advise a witness he needed to contact a detective.

June 6 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to 220 E. Ford on a theft call. She spoke with a woman who said her money card was stolen and used in Wichita four times throughout the day. She doesn't know where she lost it. The case is under investigation.

June 6 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to 77th North and Seneca for a reckless driver. A person reported two motorcycles driving very fast on 77th North. No motorcycles were found in the area.

June 12 — 520 W. Fourth, medical alarm.

June 11 — 71st West and 109th North, unknown fire.

June 11 — 541 N. Hickory, difficulty breathing.

June 10 — 968 Goff Court, sick call.

June 10 — 4117 W. Rio Grande, permit.

June 10 — 8200 N. West, permit.

June 10 — 125th North and I-135, vehicle fire.

June 9 — 419 W. Main, permit.

June 9 — 6855 N. Seneca, sick call.

June 9 — 255 E. Allen, difficulty breathing.

June 8 — 131 N. Emporia, fall.

June 7 — 6325 N Sullivan, permit.

June 7 — 9251 N. Seneca, permit.
