Police reports

Dec. 6 — Officer Ryan Mumma assisted a citizen at the station in reporting that his son had found what looked like a bone off a sand bar located in the Arkansas River just south of the 81st North bridge.

Dec. 6 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 117 N. Burns for a suspicious person. A citizen reported a man walking in the alley west of Burns wearing a gray or green hoodie. No one was found in the area.

Dec. 6 — Officers Erik Nygaard and Jason Easley responded to 220 E. Ford. They arrested Mark Dillon Seminara on charges of forgery and theft, and on a hold for state warrant.

Dec. 6 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to a hit-and-run accident at 136 N. Park. He spoke with a man who said an unknown vehicle struck his vehicle and fled the scene. Officer located the unoccupied vehicle in the 100 block of North Ash and contacted the owner. The owner said he let a friend borrow the vehicle, but had not heard from her in a couple of days. Attempts to contact the friend were unsuccessful.

Dec. 5 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to an alarm at 122 N. Park. The alarm company called back to cancel. The alarm was deemed false.

Dec. 5 — Officer Michael Gordon provided a funeral escort from 400 S. Abilene to Valley Center Cemetery.

Dec. 5 — Officer Michael Gordon worked on crime mapping data and evidence processing.

Dec. 5 — Officers Eric Leeker and Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to 100 N. Park for a suspicious person. Someone saw three juveniles run away from her yard. Officers didn't find the juveniles.

Dec. 5 — Officers Eric Leeker and Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted EMS at 524 W. First.

Dec. 5 — Officers Eric Leeker and Erik Nygaard and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Sedgwick County sheriff at 77th North and Ridge with a drive-by shooting report. A group of individuals arrived at a party and were told they were not welcome. They shot a handgun into the air multiple times. No one was injured.

Dec. 5 — Officer Shannon Meyer and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Kechi police at 446 N. Oliver by searching for a suspect who had escaped custody. They were unable to locate the suspect.

Dec. 5 — Officer Shannon Meyer assisted Maize police at 5340 N. Maize Road with two individuals who ran from a Maize officer. She was unable to locate them, but they left their car at the KwikShop and drugs were found in the vehicle.

Dec. 5 — Officer Shannon Meyer assisted EMS and Sedgwick County sheriff at 1733 W. 125th North.

Dec. 4 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to the 600 block of East Fifth for a non-injury auto accident. A 1999 Ford Ranger collided with 2006 Ford Escape in the intersection. The driver of the Ford Escape was issued a ticket for inattentive driving because he failed to yield the right of way.

Dec. 4 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at the station with an identity fraud report. The citizen said a known person gave a Valley Center police officer his driver's license during an Oct. 29 traffic stop. The suspect did not have his license with him. The suspect received a ticket from the officer, and the reporting party became aware when he received a letter from the court in the mail. The suspect is facing felony charges.

Dec. 4 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted kindergarteners from Abilene Elementary at the station as they decorated the department's Christmas tree.

Dec. 4 — Officers Eric Leeker, Erik Nygaard and Shannon Meyer and Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted Park City police at 1518 E. Fallbrook. The homeowner reported seeing a man on her back porch trying to get into the house. She yelled at him to leave, and he took off. Nobody was able to locate the man.

Dec. 4 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to a general alarm at 300 E. Seventh. All buildings were secure, and everything appeared to be OK.

Dec. 3 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to a burglary at 134 S. Emporia Court.  The reporting party said someone broke into her father's house last week and stole a washer, dryer, pressure washer, table saw, an air compressor and an air bubble.

Dec. 3 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado checked a suspicious vehicle at 69th North and Meridian. He arrested Mark D. Nixon and Alfredo Castillo each on a Valley Center warrant. Officer also found a small bag of marijuana on Nixon's person.

Dec. 3 — Officer Shannon Meyer worked on paperwork at the station on embezzlement cases.

Dec. 2 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Michael Gordon responded to Fifth and Park for a two-vehicle, non-injury auto accident. One vehicle struck the rear-passenger quarter panel of the other vehicle. Both parties exchanged information, and neither party was cited.

Dec. 2 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Michael Gordon assisted EMS at 131 S. Colby.

Dec. 2 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Michael Gordon served a subpoena at 801 S. Meridian.

Dec. 2 — Officers Ryan Mumma and Michael Gordon took a report at the station from a citizen who said her neighbors were driving on the easement that leads up to her house and tearing up the road, making it difficult to reach her house. The citizen was told the easement is not on her property and if she wanted more information she should contact City Hall.

Dec. 2 — Officers Eric Leeker and Shannon Meyer arrested Kenneth McConnell at 627 Parkway Court on charges of violating a protection-from-abuse order and for criminal possession of a weapon.

Dec. 2 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Shannon Meyer checked a man walking at 9000 N. Broadway. He was found to be a suspect from an earlier Park City police call.

Dec. 2 — Officer Shannon Meyer followed-up at 510 E. Fifth. She pulled a total of 93 case numbers regarding an embezzlement case that originated in October.

Dec. 1 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at 77th North and Broadway. He transported the citizen to his work place in Valley Center after his car broke down.

Dec. 1 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at the station by verifying a repair on a fix-it ticket.

Dec. 1 — Officer Jason Easley responded to a report of a business with its interior lights on at 301 E. Main. The business owner was outside the building and said the lights are always on.

Dec. 1 — Officer Jason Easley responded to a call at Intrust Bank. A driver reported seeing two or three men standing by the ATM. The officer could not locate anyone, but a receipt was found in the machine about the same time the call was received.

Nov. 30 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted EMS at 21 Hawthorne.

Nov. 30 — Officer Michael Gordon was dispatched to 1240 E. Ford, No. 215, to assist EMS.

Nov. 30 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at the station. The citizen said an unknown person used his debit card number to purchase items online. The citizen lived in the county, so the case was forwarded to the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office.

Nov. 30 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted EMS at 657 N. Meridian.

Nov. 30 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police with a traffic stop in the 8000 block of North I-135.
