 Fire department keeps busy Last Updated: December 04, 2015 Valley Center firefighters Rob Tormey and Phil Tennissen leave an apartment at the Brookfield Apartment complex where a fire was reported Nov. 25. It turned out to be burning food on a stove. Local firefighters were kept busy during the past week, responding to more than 25 calls for service between Nov. 23 and 30. Some were related to the ice storm that hit the Valley Center area after Thanksgiving, including three vehicle wrecks. No serious injuries were reported in any incident. |
