Tennis, golf to Salina for postseason By The News staff Last Updated: October 01, 2015 Valley Center High School's tennis and golf teams will both travel to Salina for their respective regional events this month. The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced regional assignments for these two sports over the weekend. Regional tennis is Oct. 10 at Salina Central High School. In addition to the Hornets, the Mustangs will host Great Bend, Maize, Newton, Salina South and Wichita Heights. The 5A state meet is Oct. 16 and 17 at Valley Center. Valley Center's regional golf tournament is Oct. 12 at Salina Municipal Golf Course, hosted by Salina South High School. Great Bend, Maize, Newton, Salina Central and Wichita Heights round out the field. The state tournament is Oct. 19 in Kansas City, Kan. The KSHSAA has not announce assignments yet for volleyball, cross country or soccer. |
