Police reports

Aug. 2 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen who needed directions at 800 N. Meridian.

Aug. 2 — Sgt. Matt Vogt and Officer Jason Easley assisted the sheriff's office at the station. A citizen reported that she was the victim of identity theft. A deputy came to take the report since the woman lived in the county.

Aug. 2 — Sgt. Matt Vogt responded to an alarm at the McKay-Petrie, 300 E. Seventh. The alarm was false.

Aug. 2 — A citizen called the station wanting to be contacted by phone regarding a police case. Officers determined that it was a sheriff's office case.

Aug. 2 — Officers checked New Horizons and spoke with staff and consumers.

Aug. 2 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Ryan Mumma assisted the sheriff's office and EMS at 101st and Hillside.

Aug. 2 — Officers noticed someone getting into a vehicle and keeping the lights off once inside at 417 Meeds. It turned out to be the resident who was just getting ready to go to work.

Aug. 1 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted EMS at 127 S. Colby.

Aug. 1 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted the sheriff's office at 8005 N. Hoover. It was a civil matter and officers were dismissed.

Aug. 1 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted a citizen at the police station, 616 E. fifth. Someone found a brown dog and wanted police to be aware that it was taken to the animal shelter.

Aug. 1 — Officer Eric Leeker assisted the sheriff's office at 4600 E. 93rd North on a disturbance with a weapon. Officer was disregarded before he arrived.

Aug. 1 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado assisted the sheriff's office on the recovery of a stolen truck at 4815 N. Ridge.

Aug. 1 — Officer Matthew Trelow responded to an alarm at Dollar General, 220 E. Ford. Trelow and Sgt. Thomas Delgado checked the business and it was secure. The alarm was false.

Aug. 1 — Officer Matt Trelow noticed a vehicle parked near Allen and Colby with its headlights on. The vehicle was unoccupied. Officer was unable to locate the owner.

Aug. 1 — Officer Matthew Trelow checked businesses from 201 to 225 S. Meridian. All doors were secure.

July 31 — Officer Jeremy Manning was waved down by a citizen at 217 S. Meridian. The individual asked some questions about a case he may be involved in.

July 31 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted a walk-in at the police station. The person had questions about warrants in another state. The officer was able to help the individual clear his name.

July 31 — Officer Matt Trelow checked a gold Impala at the intersection of 93rd North and Broadway, stopped on the side of the road.

July 31 — Officer Matt Trelow assisted EMS at 100 S. Birch on a fall.

July 31 — Officer Matt Trelow performed a business check at 500 W. Clay.  All doors were secure and no illegal activity was observed.

July 31 — Officer Matt Trelow assisted Park City Police on a traffic stop in the 7700 block of North I-135.  Methamphetamine and possible stolen items were located in the vehicle. Officer assisted with taking inventory of the items.

July 30 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to the 100 block of East Ford. The arms of the railroad crossing were down without a train. Traffic was directed away until the problem was fixed.

July 30 — Officer Jeremy Manning assisted people who drove through the closed road sign and got stuck in the high water. No one was injured.

July 30 — Officer Jeremy Manning responded to a safety hazard. A cable line broke and was unknown if it was live. Cox came out and repaired the line.

July 30 — Officer Officer Jeremy Manning assisted a stalled motorist at 600 N. Meridian until the car was fixed and the motorist was on his way. No injuries or damage were found.

July 30 — Sgt Thomas Delgado assisted a motorist at Main and Abilene. A man was pushing the vehicle after running out of gas. The officer got a gas can to refill the vehicle and they were on their way.

July 30 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to a domestic dispute at 338 N. Ash, Apt B. The individual reported that her ex-boyfriend refused to leave the residence. A verbal argument started. Both parties exchanged a few items and the ex-boyfriend left the residence without incident.

July 30 — Officer Matt Trelow conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Industrial and Ash. The tag registration and decal came back as stolen. The driver stated she bought the tag off the street. The officer confiscated the decal. She was cited and given a court date.

July 29 — Officer Allen Adams performed traffic control as lights were put up at Main and Meridian.

July 29 — Officer Allen Adams took a theft report at Casey's, 222 S. Meridian. A 24-ounce can of Steel Reserve was taken. Loss was $1.89.

July 29 — Officer Jason Easley took a report of a woman receiving an alarming letter at 616 E. Fifth.

July 29 — Officer Jason Easley and Leeker checked for a wanted person at 212 S. Meridian, Lot 8.  They were not able to locate her.

July 29 — Officers Ryan Mumma, J.C. Kirk and Matt Trelow performed a business check at 841 S. Meridian.  They found that Unruh Chiropractic's front door was unlocked. Officers searched the building and found no illegal activity. Officers secured the building and left a voicemail on the after-hours phone.

July 29 — Officers Ryan Mumma, J.C. Kirk and Matt Trelow responded to the 8900 block of Weber Court on a report of a white female walking east on 85th North from Sheridan Court jumping in front of cars when they drive by. They made contact with a female walking into town to buy some cigarettes and to cool off. Kirk and Mumma gave her a ride to Casey's and then gave her a ride back home. They talked with the individual's father and found that she has had a problem with substance abuse.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen at the police station by fingerprinting him for a teacher license.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon attempted a check for a wanted person at 212 S. Meridian, No. 8. Officer did not locate the individual. He drove by the location several times looking for a vehicle to show up, but it did not.  No one would answer the door.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon performed a check of the Valley Center swimming pool. There were no problems to report.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted the sheriff's office on a disturbance with a weapon. The caller stated that a person was shooting a gun into some trees on private property.  After making contact with the person, it was discovered that this person had permission to be on the property and was shooting in a safe direction.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon performed a business check at Third Streete Terrace. The New Hope facility was checked. There were no problems to report.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon performed a business check at Avery Auto. There were no problems to report.

July 28 — Officer J.C. Kirk and Ryan Mumma responded to a business alarm located at 8159 N. Broadway.  The alarm was false.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to a noise disturbance at 901 W. 63rd North. Resident called saying a dog was barking behind their house for 20 minutes. The area was searched and nothing was found.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a motorist at 222 S. Meridian with a flat tire.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon warned a vehicle full of young adults they could not park on Theorosa's Bridge at 109th North and Meridian.  They asked for directions to Andover and headed that way.

July 28 — Officer Michael Gordon placed red tags on trailers located at 1126 N. Meadow Road, 242 N. Emporia, 500 block of North Ash and 900 block Pheasant Run.

July 27 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to 3700 Palos Verdes on a theft report. Citizen reported that his wife's prescription medication was stolen from inside the house possibly by a known individual.

July 27 — Officer Michael Gordon responded to 511 S. Eastridge on an alarm on a residence. The alarm was false.

July 27 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen who walked into the police station needing fingerprinted.

July 27 — Officer Jason Easley responded to a domestic violence report at 3100 E. Ford. The calling party informed the officer that his wife had left the house with a TV and blue-ray player. It was common property. She left with the three kids to go to a sister's house. He said he called his wife and spoke to the children and they were OK.  A report was taken as documentation of this civil issue.

July 27 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Ryan Mumma placed a red tag on a livestock trailer located at 1211 E. Appleton.

July 30 — 6729 N Interurban, abdominal pain.

July 31 — 8146 Buena Vista, permit.

July 31 — 431 W. Ness, permit.

July 31 — 591 W. First, permit.

Aug. 1 — 100 S. Birch, fall.

Aug. 1 — 127 S. Colby No. 47, difficulty breathing.
