Police reports

July 12 — Officers Michael Gordon, Jason Easley, Ryan Mumma and Jeremy Manning assisted Valley Center fire with traffic and crowd control during a house fire at 212 S. Meridian, No. 11.

July 12 — Officer Jason Easley responded to a disturbance at 405 S. Abilene. Two women were arguing with the husband of one of the women about a missing fishing knife that belonged to the husband. Officer explained it was a civil matter rather than a criminal one.

July 12 — Officers Jason Easley, Ryan Mumma and Jeremy Manning assisted EMS at 10 Second Circle.

July 12 — Officers Jason Easley, Ryan Mumma and Jeremy Manning drove by 212 S. Meridian, Lot 11, to make sure a previous fire did not flare up.

July 12 — Officer Jeremy Manning and Sgt. Matt Vogt found an unlocked door at the library, 321 W. First. They cleared the library.

July 12 — Officers Jason Easley, Ryan Mumma and Jeremy Manning checked a man seen walking toward them while they checked Lions Park, 428 E. Allen. When asked what he was doing in the park, the man replied walking around to cool off after an argument with his wife. They escorted the man home and checked his wife. She had no visible injuries and there was no sign of a struggle. The wife said it was a verbal argument only, and they were attending counseling at their church for it.

July 12 — Officer J.C. Kirk cut a miscellaneous report based upon information from Augusta police regarding a possible crime that occurred in 2011.

July 11 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to 801 S. Meridian and answered questions about child custody and what a mother could do about it.

July 11 — Officer Eric Leeker conducted a club check at Spirits, 231 E. Main. Everything appeared to be OK.

July 11 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to criminal damage at 1334 W. 61st North. The reporting party said her roommate's sister wrote in pencil on the front door. The tenant of the residence wanted to trespass the suspect.

July 11 — Officer Matt Trelow spoke with a citizen on the phone who gave the location of a wanted person in Wichita. Officer informed dispatch, who contacted the reporting party.

July 10 — Officer Shannon Meyer responded to a 911 hang-up call at 32 N. High Point. The homeowner had misdialed.

July 10 — Officer Shannon Meyer checked a tag light for a fix-it ticket at the station. It was working OK.

July 10 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to a vehicle parked in the driveway of an unoccupied residence at 845 N. Redbud. He checked around the residence and the vehicle, and observed no criminal activity.

July 10 — Officer Matt Trelow assisted Sedgwick County sheriff and Kechi police with an accident at 85th North and Oliver.

July 10 — Officer Matt Trelow assisted Park City police near 101st North and I-135 with a driver headed the wrong way. Officer checked Park City hotels for the vehicle, but did not find it.

July 9 — Officer Shannon Meyer checked the welfare of a woman at 212 S. Meridian. Lot No. 8.

July 9 — Officer Shannon Meyer took a report at the station from a regional manger who said the business he works for had money missing from its safe.

July 9 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to Casey's, 222 S. Meridian, for a gas drive-off. Officer believed it was an accident but opened a case because of Casey's corporate policy. Officer contacted the individual on the phone at his home in Cheney. The subject said he had made arrangements with a friend to pay for the gas. Officer remained at Casey's until the friend came in and paid for the gas. The case was voided.

July 9 — Sgt. Thomas Delgado responded to the area of Dexter and Main for a suspicious person. The calling party said her dog was barking at someone in the alley. The subject was someone with Cox Communications.

July 9 — Officer Matt Trelow checked a vehicle parked in a cul-de-sac at 900 N. Redbud Court. There were three people in the vehicle, and the driver said they wee waiting for a friend to text them a Wichita address for a party. Officer released the vehicle.

July 9 — Officer Matt Trelow conducted a foot patrol at the Brookfield Apartments, 1240 E. Ford. No illegal activity was seen.

July 9 — Officer Matt Trelow checked all the banks in Valley Center. He did not see any illegal activity, and all doors were secure.

July 8 — Officers Eric Leeker, Ryan Mumma and Jason Easley and Sgt. Thomas Delgado arrested Keldric Nelson at the station at the request of the municipal court judge for traffic charges.

July 8 — Officer Eric Leeker responded to a disturbance at 212 S. Meridian, Lot 11. A woman reported two known people put a firework in her cigarette. When she lit the cigarette, it popped in her face. Officer cut the cigarette open and found a small piece of firework fuse at the end of it.

July 8 — Officer Eric Leeker served a Uniform Criminal Complaint at 10250 N. 109th West.

July 8 — Officers Eric Leeker, Ryan Mumma and Jason Easley and Sgt. Thomas Delgado served a protection from abuse order on Derek Agosto at the station.

July 8 — Officers J.C. Kirk and Matt Trelow stopped a vehicle for speeding at 801 S. Meridian. Both passengers were cited for possession of marijuana.

July 8 — Officer Matt Trelow responded to an alarm on the drive-through window of the Sonic, 200 S. Meridian. It was deemed false.

July 7 — Officers Michael Gordon and Jeremy Manning stood-by while a person moved out of a residence at 302 1/2 Main.

July 7 — Officers Michael Gordon and Jeremy Manning checked the welfare at the request of a citizen at 212 S. Meridian. They were unable to locate the people in question.

July 7 — Officers Michael Gordon and Jeremy Manning took a report of an accident that occurred July 6 at Ford and Meridian. The reporting party said his vehicle was rear-ended as he came to a stop for a stop sign.

July 7 — Officers Jason Easley and Ryan Mumma and Sgts. Thomas Delgado and Matt Vogt responded to a residential alarm at 624 Deerfield. The home was cleared, and the alarm company notified the key holder.

July 7 — Officer Ryan Mumma responded to 546 W. Main for a domestic violence report.

July 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police with a disturbance in the 300 block of West 61st North. The suspect was not located, and the circumstances were unfounded.

July 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk assisted Park City police with traffic control at an accident at 85th North and Broadway.

July 7 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to a residential alarm at 5332 W. 77th North. Everything appeared to be secure, and the alarm was deemed false.

July 6 — Officer Michael Gordon tried to serve a criminal complaint at 10250 N. 109th West. The subject was not found.

July 6 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen with an inoperable vehicle in the 1200 block of East Ford.

July 6 — Officer Michael Gordon assisted a citizen with directions at Main and Meridian.

July 6 — Officer Michael Gordon received a pair of eyeglasses found in a parking lot at 800 N. Meridian.

July 6 — Officer Michael Gordon checked the welfare of two girls riding a pink scooter in the street in the 100 block of West Fourth. He cautioned them about the dangers of doing so.

July 6 — Officer Michael Gordon checked a residential alarm at 1602 W. 61st North. The alarm was false.

July 6 — Officer Jason Easley and Ryan Mumma responded to a disturbance between a man and woman living together at 312 1/2 Main. The woman was moving out and needed to take some of her belongings. The man told her he had changed the locks. Officers spoke with the couple and an agreement was reached. The woman took her items and said she would be back July 7 at an agreed-upon time for the larger items.  

July 6 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to 123 S. Colby, No. 24, for a report of a missing antique license plate. A theft report case was taken.

July 6 — Officer J.C. Kirk checked three males walking west on Fifth. Someone had called in to report that the subjects were being loud.

July 6 — Officer J.C. Kirk responded to a residential alarm at 240 W. Nuss. The house appeared to be secure, and the alarm was deemed false.

July 12 — 10 E. Second Circle, assist EMS.

July 12 — Meridian and Allen, house fire.

July 12 — 212 S. Meridian and Meridian and Allen, house fire.

July 10 — 3300 W. 77th North, permit.

July 10 — 400 W. Industrial, permit.

July 9 — 680 N. Redbud Court, check smoke detector.

July 9 — 101st North and Seneca, grass fire.

July 7 — 8760 N. Ross, assist citizen.

July 6 — 10700 W. Chinook, house fire.

July 6 — 11342 N. Hoover, wiring.
