WILLARD THIESSEN Last Updated: July 09, 2015 Willard E. Thiessen, 94, of Whitewater, died July 5, 2015. He was a farmer and stockman. He was born April 23, 1921, at Whitewater, one of 12 children born of Peter and Kaete (Regier) Thiessen. He married Lena E. Nuefeld on March 9, 1947. He was preceded in death by his wife. Survivors include children Lauren (JoAnn) Thiessen of Bel Aire, Jolyn (David) Stark of Raymore, Mo. and Lavada (Dan) Klinger of Phillipsburg; siblings Floyd Thiessen of Lipscomb, Texas, Esther Stucky of Wichita, Selma Entz of Whitewater and Lois Frey of Hesston; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. July 9 at Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater. Burial will precede the service at 10 a.m. at Emmaus Cemetery. Memorial to Berean Academy or the Wheat State Manor Renovation Fund in care of Lamb Funeral Home, 120 S Main, Whitewater KS 67154. |
