By Chris Strunk
Last Updated: July 15, 2015

A family of four was displaced Sunday afternoon (July 12) when a fire destroyed their mobile home in Valley Center.

Daniel Sisler, his wife and their two children were not at home at the time of the fire. They were grocery shopping in Wichita. Two friends of the family were at the home, but escaped unharmed.

The blaze appeared to have started on the outside deck and spread into the home. It's unclear what caused the fire.

Fire Capt. Rob Tormey said the home was a total loss. The home is located in a mobile home park behind Sonic in the 200 block of South Meridian.
