What's on your mind Last Updated: July 09, 2015 Drafters got smoked Drafting is no longer a career. It's now a part of the engineer's own job duties. The Great Recession and software automation saw to it. Unfortunately, drafters got smoked. Tired of whistles When is Valley Center going to fix the train problem? I'm getting tired of hearing whistle-blowing tornadoes. More industry Valley Center needs more industry and to work on becoming more independent of Wichita. Citizen enforcers If the city refuses to enforce fireworks ordinances, perhaps the private citizen should be the enforcer. 10-day celebration? Well, I see Valley Center hasn't changed in my 70-plus years here. The city council makes rules that are never enforced by the police or city council members. The Fourth of July is not a 10-day celebration. I'm not against the Fourth. It's the people who make laws or rules and don't see them through. Education, politics It's too bad education is highly politicized. Fireworks violators Valley Center had its fair share of fireworks violators. Roads in bad shape The roads are in terrible shape.
